Covers & Icons

Personalize notes with gradient covers, photo covers, and emoji icons.

Every note can have a cover (a visual banner at the top) and an icon (an emoji). These are purely visual — they help you find notes quickly and make your library feel organized.

Note icons

An icon is a single emoji that appears next to the note title in the list and at the top of the note.

Adding an icon

iOS

Open the note and tap the emoji/icon area at the top of the note. The system emoji picker opens.

Android

Tap the emoji area at the top of the note to open the emoji selector.

Web

Click the emoji area (or the Add Icon button) at the top of the note.

Pick any emoji and it saves immediately. To remove it, open the picker and select the clear/remove option.

Covers

A cover is a full-width image that appears at the top of your note — similar to a Notion page cover.

Gradient covers

Choose from a curated set of gradient presets. These are lightweight (no image upload required) and look great in both light and dark mode.

Photo covers

Upload any photo from your library as a cover. Repeatica processes and optimizes it automatically.

Adding a cover

iOS

Open the note and tap Add Cover (at the top, above the title), or use the note options menu → Cover.

Android

Open the note and tap the cover area, or use the more options menu → Edit Cover.

Web

Click Add Cover at the top of the note. Switch between Gradients and Upload tabs.

Removing a cover

Open the cover editor and select Remove Cover.
