AI Lessons
Turn a note into a guided lesson that teaches and quizzes you.
AI Lessons turn a note into a guided learning session. Instead of just giving you more text to read, Repeatica breaks the material into bite-size teaching cards, checks your understanding with quick questions, and shows your score at the end.
Use lessons after your note content is ready, and before you generate flashcards for long-term review.
Generating a lesson
Open a note, tap the Learn tab, and tap the sparkle button to generate a lesson.
Open a note, tap the Learn tab, and tap the sparkle button to generate a lesson.
Open a note, click the Learn tab, and click Generate Lesson.
The AI reads the note content, including transcriptions and extracted text from attachments. Wait for voice notes, YouTube videos, images, or PDFs to finish processing before generating the lesson.
Lessons work best when the note has enough source material to teach from. A full lecture transcript, article, textbook chapter, or structured note usually produces a better lesson than a few short lines.
What a lesson includes
A lesson is made from a sequence of cards:
- Learn cards explain the key ideas in short sections.
- Visuals can show tables, timelines, comparisons, formulas, trees, scales, or callouts when the content benefits from structure.
- Quiz cards test understanding with multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, true/false, and recall prompts.
The mix depends on the note. Repeatica chooses the structure that fits the material instead of forcing every lesson into the same format.
Taking a lesson
After generation, the Learn tab shows the number of lesson cards and a Start Lesson button.
During the lesson:
- Read each Learn card.
- Answer quiz cards as they appear.
- Scroll or tap the down arrow to continue.
- Tap Complete at the end to see your score.
Your last score is saved on the note so you can retake the lesson later and compare progress.
If you close a lesson before finishing, your in-progress answers are not saved. Finish the lesson to save the score.
Lessons vs. flashcards
Lessons and flashcards serve different jobs:
| Feature | Best for | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| AI Lessons | Learning and checking understanding now | After capture and extraction are complete |
| AI Flashcards | Remembering key facts long term | After you understand the material |
If you generate flashcards after creating a lesson, Repeatica can use the lesson's key concepts as extra context. That helps the flashcards focus on what is worth retaining, not just what is easy to turn into a question.
Regenerating a lesson
If you significantly change a note, regenerate the lesson from the Learn tab. This creates a fresh lesson from the latest content.
Regenerating replaces the current lesson and clears the saved lesson score for that note. It also uses one AI call.
Usage limits
Each lesson generation counts as one AI call. See Subscription Plans for the full limits table.
