Ask questions about your note content in a conversational AI chat.
The Ask AI tab lets you have a multi-turn conversation with an AI that has full context of your note. Ask it to explain a concept, quiz you, reformat content, or dive deeper into a specific section.
Opening Ask AI
Open a note and tap the Ask tab at the bottom of the screen.

How it works
The AI receives your entire note — title, content, summary, and any extracted text from attachments — as context for every message you send. You don't need to paste or reference the content; it's always there.
Example prompts
- "Explain the third point in simpler terms."
- "Quiz me on the key concepts in this note."
- "What's the difference between X and Y mentioned here?"
- "Rewrite the summary as bullet points."
- "What questions should I be able to answer after studying this?"
Session behavior
Each time you open the Ask tab, it starts a fresh conversation. Previous questions and answers aren't saved — only the note content carries over.
Ask about a specific section
You can focus the conversation on a specific part of your note rather than asking about the whole thing.
Hover over any heading in the note — a sparkle icon appears next to it. Click it to switch to the Ask tab with that section loaded as context. Your next message will be answered specifically about that section.
Long-press any heading in the note to reveal a context menu with Ask about this section. This switches to the Ask tab with the section content loaded as context.
After sending your first message, the section context clears and the conversation continues normally about the full note.
