AI Flashcards
Automatically generate flashcards from your notes using AI.
AI Flashcards turn your note content into question-and-answer pairs for spaced repetition review. Instead of manually writing each card, the AI identifies the key concepts and creates testable prompts for long-term memory.
Flashcards are the Remember layer. Use AI Lessons first when you still need to understand the material, then use flashcards to retain it over time.
Generating flashcards
Open a note, tap the Remember tab, tap the + button, and select Generate with AI.

Open a note, click the Remember tab, click Generate Flashcards, or use the + menu to add cards.
The AI reads the entire note — including summaries, transcriptions, extracted text, and lesson concepts when a lesson exists — and generates a set of cards. This typically takes 10–20 seconds.
Structured notes produce better flashcards. Notes with headings, bullet lists, and bold key terms give the AI more signal to work with.
Viewing and editing flashcards
After generation, flashcards appear in the Remember tab of the note. Each card shows:
- Question (front)
- Answer (back)
Tap any card to edit the question or answer. You can also delete individual cards or add new ones manually.
Adding flashcards manually
In the Remember tab, tap the + button to create a blank card and fill in the question and answer yourself.
Regenerating flashcards
If you update the note content significantly, you can generate more flashcards from the latest content. New AI-generated cards are added after the existing cards.
Generating another batch can create duplicates if the note content has not changed much. Review the new cards and delete anything you do not want to keep.
