Security
Set up two-factor authentication to protect your Repeatica account.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security to your account. After entering your password, you'll also need to provide a code from an authenticator app before you can sign in.
Two-factor authentication requires a Pro or Max subscription.
How it works
With 2FA enabled, signing in requires two things:
- Your password
- A 6-digit code from an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password)
Even if someone learns your password, they can't access your account without the code.
Setting up 2FA
Setup is done on the Web app (app.repeatica.com). iOS and Android link to the web for setup.
- 1
Open Settings
Go to Settings → Account → Two-Factor Authentication and tap Set Up.
- 2
Add a backup phone number
Enter your phone number and verify it with an SMS code. This serves as a recovery method if you lose access to your authenticator app.
- 3
Scan the QR code
Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code displayed on screen. If you can't scan, tap the code below the QR image to copy it and enter it manually.
- 4
Enter the verification code
Type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
Once both steps are complete, 2FA is active on your account.
Signing in with 2FA
After entering your email and password, you'll be prompted to enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app. Open the app, find the Repeatica entry, and type the current code.
Recovery
If you lose access to your authenticator app, you can receive a verification code via SMS to your backup phone number. This is why the setup process requires adding a phone number first.
Keep your backup phone number up to date. If you lose both your authenticator app and access to your phone number, contact for account recovery.
Removing 2FA
To turn off two-factor authentication:
- 1
Open Settings
Go to Settings → Account → Two-Factor Authentication and tap Remove.
- 2
Enter your password
Re-authenticate by entering your account password.
- 3
Enter a verification code
Provide a 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm removal.
Both your authenticator app and backup phone will be unenrolled.
